I was born in Atlanta , Georgia . I think I began doing artwork immediately after that . I was very lucky to have had a teacher in the 6th grade who was an artist . Mr. Allen encouraged artistic growth . He would let me do drawings of Mideival times instead of taking a history test . I loved drawing castles and knights . In an American high school in Kaiserslautern , Germany I drew the cover for the school magazine . It was a pen and ink of John Lennon .
After moving back to the States I went to and graduated from the Atlanta School of Art , which was , and stil is a very fine institution with great teachers . Upon graduation I got a job at WTCG television station ( now TBS } where I was assistant art director . Since then I have had paintings , drawings and prints in numerous shows and galleries ,done graphics and signs for small companies and individuals , have published a coloring book , children's book and have a line of greeting cards featuring my photographs and drawings . I love animals and live with my beautiful companion , Lori and three pets , Luckydog , KC ( kitty cat ) and Yoko the Little One , a young cat that is a small maniac . I have been living on St . George Island for 20 years . It is the kind of place where everybody waves to each other when driving down the road , sometimes whether you know them or not . The Island has the beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico to our south and Apalachicola Bay to the north . Our economy is based largely on vacationers , half of the houses here are rentals to tourists . It is a great place to relax on the beach , fish , go boating or sailing and of course , watch the Dolphins play in the surf .
